How it works?
HOW TO COLLABORATE WITH OTHER DESIGNERS / MEMBERS:
1) INTERDISCIPLINARY COLLABORATION proposals:
- Your are working in a project where takes part disciplines different from yours.
- Write your proposal in the forum "COLLABORATION proposals"
- Read and follow the answers with automatic notices, look at the profile and portfolio of the interested members, etc...
- The relationship between members is direct, we only ask you is to share the result of this collaboration with all the community.
2) PROJECTS INTERCHANGE proposals:
- The first condition is to have a project to interchange with designers of the same discipline.
- Write your offer in the forum INTERCHANGE proposals
- You can interchange complete projects or a part of them.
- The project "is not" "delivered", it's only an "invitation" to take part in the own project in exchange for taking part in the foreign project.
- The principal signatory (the-signer) continues being the author of the project, the secondary signatory has the role of "invited designer", but in the project that collaborates also he is a signatory, and is able to show it in his portfolio.
- We recommend that the local designer should realize the direction of the works, treatment with the client, etc. And the invited designer supports an internal relation with the study ... but it depends on you!
Example of INTERDISCIPLINARY COLLABORATION:
- Fran, interior designer from Madrid, is working in the project of a new restaurant
- He needs a graphic designer to design the letters of menus while he develops the planes
- After hanging the offer on the forum and revising the profiles and works of the graphic designers who have offered, he decides for one of them that lives in Tokyo
- They agree on the conditions, either economic or barter, and they hang the fruit of their collaboration on The-signers.
- The project of new restaurant is a reality in the portfolio of both creatives.
Example of PROJECTS INTERCHANGE:
- Marc, architect from Barcelona, is workin in the project of an office building
- For a long time he dreams to be working in a project in Italy.
- In the forum "interchange proposals", he offers to other architects the possibility of designing the foyers and common zones of his building.
- The condition for the interchange is to receive a similar offer of a colleague of profession, but in the city of Milan.
- Result: both architects sign two projects in two different cities.
- It is not about selling neither to buy, it is about of collaboration and interchange.
- It is not designers' web searching clients, neither clients searching designers, it is designers' community collaborating with designers.
- The commercial relation between members of shared projects not matter to the community, though we encourage you to show the result of your collaboration to keep the community alive, is yours!
- The communication between deign studios is easy to support by mail or web, but why not to travel and to visit the works in which one collaborates? Again it depends on you, but of course .... take photos, and share!
- The main objective of The-signers is to connect designers in different cities to collaborate and to interchange projects, and over all, to create designers' community where the whole content related to the design, the architecture, the art and the creativity is welcome.
